| Anoles
are our most common lizard. Many people mistake them for
Chameleons, which technically they are not. Carolina or Green
Anoles are reptiles that enjoy sunning themselves and showing off
their bright green color. Their green changes to brown to adapt to
temperature or light. Males expand their red dewlap (throat flap)
to claim their territory or impress their mate. They eat live
insects and are commonly found in outdoor flower pots. |
