Cardinals

This summer we have enjoyed something we haven't seen before--watching cardinals grow up, learning to feed, learning to fly, growing into their colors, and dealing with bad hair days. There were at least four cardinal nests in the bamboo bordering our driveway, and our backyard feeders were their closest source of food. This was the first time I had seen a parent teaching a juvenile how to eat from a bird feeder.
