
Ruby-throated Hummingbird--our only
common hummer locally. If you want to see a variety of larger

Hummingbird nests are tiny and very
difficult to spot, as they blend in so well with the leaves and lichens
on branches. Here is a close-up of the tiny nest shown above the
arrow in the left photo. This nest was spotted on Edisto Island in
Botany Bay Plantation.
